registrations ARE closeD

Thank you for offering to volunteer at Sacred Grove. Our programs are 100% run by volunteers and we welcome your help. Volunteering is a wonderful way to connect with Sri M’s community and enjoy the experience of Seva (selfless service)

Volunteer responsibilities

We are in need of full-time volunteers for each retreat, hence we request you to sign up for a retreat that you are not already attending. We need volunteer support during retreats, in between retreats, and before and after the retreat period is over.

During the retreats, there will be opportunities to volunteer in the kitchen and dining hall, washing dishes and pots and pans, cleaning large areas, managing registration, helping keep traffic flowing smoothly in and out of the property, parking duties, and other activities.

In between retreats we will need help with purchasing supplies and fresh produce that we need for the upcoming retreat, storing them properly, deep cleaning the kitchen and other areas of Sacred Grove, and any other overall preparation to get ready for the upcoming retreat.

Before and after the retreats we will need assistance with shuttling supplies between Dallas and Graham, taking stock of inventory, clean-up and storage as required.

Travel & Accommodation

We have negotiated discounted rates for accommodations at the following hotels in Graham, TX for the retreats.  Please make the reservations directly with the hotel using the links below.  We recommend that you do not use third party websites to book the hotel rooms as it becomes easier for the hotels to track the guests of our retreats and serve them  properly.

Please note that we will also start a retreat specific WhatsApp group to help facilitate conversations with other volunteers  to arrange for roommates, sharing rental cars, organizing a ride, etc.

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteers will be provided meals on all the days they volunteer at Sacred Grove.  During the retreats, there may be a couple of sessions with Sri M that the volunteers will be allowed to attend (specific session details and timing will be shared during the volunteer orientation on the first day of the retreat).  Full-time volunteers can access the campus when it is open - regular opening and closing hours will be posted the night before.  Volunteers will not have access to the main residence at all times and the meditation hall and surrounding areas (except for specific sessions that will be announced at the retreat orientation). They are able to use the dining hall, Babaji’s room and Mary’s Grotto whenever they have a break in their volunteering duties.
