Our programs are 100% run by volunteers and we welcome your help. Volunteering is a wonderful way to connect with Sri M’s community and enjoy the experience of seva (service).

Our retreats in spring 2022 could not have been possible without the many hands that came forward to help. We are looking for a large number of dedicated volunteers to make our fall 2022 retreats a success.

Volunteer registrations will open on AUGUST 6 at 12:30 PM PST / 02:30 PM CST / 03:30 PM EST

The Retreat dates are:

Retreat 1: Friday, Oct 14 to Sunday, Oct 16

Retreat 2: Wednesday, Oct 19 to Friday, Oct 21

Retreat 3: Monday, Oct 24 to Wednesday, Oct 26

Retreat 4: Saturday, Oct 29 to Monday, Oct 31

Volunteer responsibilities

We are in need of full-time volunteers for each retreat, hence we request you to sign up for a retreat you are not already attending. We need volunteer support during retreats, in between retreats, and before and after the retreat period is over.

During the retreats, there will be opportunities to volunteer in the kitchen and dining hall (meal prep, getting dining patio ready, setting up the meal service and washing dishes), managing registration, helping keep traffic flowing smoothly in and out of the property, parking duties, getting the meditation hall ready for the programs and clean up after, keeping Grotto areas clean and other activities.

Before and after the retreats we will need assistance with shuttling supplies between Dallas and Graham, taking stock of inventory, clean-up and prep in between retreats, and supporting participants with last minute info prior to retreat starting.

Travel & Accommodation

Kindly note that due to limited budget, we are requesting all volunteers to manage their own accommodation and transportation costs. We will send out further information once you register, regarding accommodation options for volunteers, accommodation sharing and carpooling options.

Volunteer Benefits

Full-time volunteers who are not participants in the retreat, will have free access to the campus during and in between the retreat and may use the facilities such as Babaji’s room and Mary’s Grotto. During retreats, volunteers will be provided meals, and are also welcome to attend daily meditation sessions with Sri M.
